Echo's academic journey began at the University of Wyoming, where she pursued mechanical engineering and applied mathematics and then advanced to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for her M.S. in biomedical engineering. While at Rensselaer, Echo researched and taught, facilitating study sessions for entry-level engineering courses and instructing CAD classes. After her studies, she returned to Jackson and resumed her role as a ski instructor at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, where she has achieved numerous teaching and coaching certifications. Echo's teaching experience extended to substitute teaching at local middle and high schools before she ventured into the tech industry with a start-up focused on automation and robotics. There, she contributed to design, programming, and technical documentation and played a key role in initiating a robot club at a middle school.
Echo is now eager to immerse herself back into academia, drawn by the prospect of exchanging knowledge and learning anew with students. She champions curiosity and views questioning as a fundamental aspect of the educational journey. Outside the academic and professional realms, Echo finds joy in gardening, cycling, river exploration, and travel.
