With over a decade of diverse teaching experience spanning public and private sectors, elementary through adult education, and in five different countries, Garrett has honed a unique and effective tutoring approach. His journey through tech-free and paperless educational environments has allowed him to distill best practices into his tutoring, ensuring impactful learning experiences.

Garrett's academic foundation is solid, with a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's in Education from the University of Maryland. His career has been rich and varied: from teaching in public schools near Washington D.C., to developing curriculum for an international IB boarding school that took him to cities like Buenos Aires, Hiroshima, Boston, and Hyderabad. He has also contributed as an elementary and technology educator at Journeys School, taught 10th-grade English at Swiss Semester, and ultimately founded Teton Tutors. Committed to lifelong learning, Garrett has recently added a Master's degree in Learning and Technology to his credentials.

At the heart of Garrett's philosophy is empowering students to become self-reliant learners. His goal is for students to emerge from his tutoring sessions with increased independence and confidence in their learning journey.
