Matthew brings a wealth of experience in teaching students from middle school through college. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Physics from Denison University, and after graduation, he traveled extensively across the country and abroad, gaining new perspectives and skills. His diverse background includes everything from welding to computer animation, and he has worked in freelance programming and tutoring. Most recently, Matthew has served as a researcher at the Snow King Observatory.

With a strong background in mathematics, physics, and computer science, Matthew also possesses extensive knowledge in GIS and climate science. His teaching approach is tailored to each student, identifying whether they learn best through visual, auditory, or kinesthetic methods, ensuring an effective and engaging learning experience.

Outside the academic realm, Matthew is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys trail running, hiking, biking, and skiing — making Jackson Hole an ideal home. His interest in urban planning and architecture has led to collaborations with NASA, including proposals for city designs on the Moon and Mars. Passionate about both teaching and learning, Matthew believes that tutoring is not only an opportunity to help students discover their potential but also a continuous learning experience for himself.
